The Annual Awards Banquet is the culmination of celebrating Manning Innovation Award winners each year. It is an opportunity to expose our Young Canadian Innovators to the amazing achievements of great Canadians with matured innovations and vice-versa. It gives the community at large an opportunity to hear about the amazing talent we have in this country. It gives the recipients an opportunity to feel and express their pride of accomplishment.

Videos of each Award winner and their innovation, as well as a video of the Young Canadian Innovators, are shown for the first time. Excerpts of these videos are then used throughout the year as public service announcements - "PSA's" - to promote and celebrate Canadian innovation.

Scotiabank has been the sponsor of this invitational banquet for a number of years.

The 2009 Awards Gala was held in Vancouver, British Columbia on September 18. The banquet is moved around the country to gain exposure across the nation; varying locations are selected to optimize award winner exposure and/or to build Foundation awareness.
