Harry Schulz is the Chapter Chair for Manitoba and a Trustee for the Foundation as of October, 2013. Harry is a veteran member of Manitoba's life sciences community, having played a leadership role in the establishment of the St Boniface General Hospital Research Centre, the I. H. Asper Clinical Research Institute, and the Kleysen Institute for Advanced Medicine (Health Sciences Centre). Schulz also helped found the Canadian Centre for Agri-Food in Medicine, a centre of excellence in nutraceuticals and functional foods. He most recently completed an assignment as CEO of Prairie Fire Growth Ventures, a provincially funded entity looking at expanded technology/ commercialization opportunities in the agriculture biotechnology sector.
Schulz has helped found three different venture capital funds in Manitoba and ten spin-off companies in medicine and agriculture. He has a strong interest in innovation, commercialization and the assembly of capital to advance sophisticated technology ventures. Schulz is presently a partner in Linn Grove Ventures.
