Young Canadian Innovators 1992 - 2016
For 25 years, the Young Canadian Innovators Program, funded through the generous support of private sponsors, annually recognized eight high school projects selected by a team of judges at the Canada-Wide Science Fair. Outstanding, self-nominated innovation projects selected on the basis of ingenuity, originality, development and potential social and economic benefits were rewarded at the Science Fair award ceremonies. A further judging process then selected four projects from the eight to receive the Manning Young Canadian Innovation Awards, presented at the annual Manning Innovation Awards dinner.
In 2017, the newly launched Youth Can Innovate awards will replace and expand upon the previously named Ernest C. Manning Young Canadian Innovators program. Trustees and staff of the Ernest C. Manning Awards Foundation applaud the Gwyn Morgan & Patricia Trottier Foundation for adopting this youth program.
